We would like to remind everyone to be courteous to your neighbors while walking your dog. Please don’t allow your pet to walk through or to do their business in neighbor's yards. And if they do, be respectful of your neighbors and your neighborhood and carry a doggie bag to clean up after your pet.

Idlewild Spotlight
In the spotlight of this edition are Article XI, XII and XIII of the Bylaws and Restrictive Covenant #20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25.
Bylaws

Article XI

Dissolution

The Association may be dissolved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of membership. Written notice of a proposal to dissolve, setting forth the reasons therefore and the disposition to be made of the assets consonant with Article XII hereof shall be mailed to every member at least ninety (90) days in advance of any action taken.

Article XII

Disposition of assets upon dissolution

Upon dissolution of the Association, other than incidental to a merger or consolidation, the assets of the Association shall be distributed to its members, or if it has no members, to those persons to whom the Association holds itself out as benefitting or serving.

Article XIII

Miscellaneous

The fiscal year of the Association shall begin on the first day of January and end on the 31st of December every year, except that the first fiscal year shall begin on the date of incorporation.




Restrictive Covenants

26. Any fences and mailboxes or docks must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee.

27. All recreational activities shall take place in the back yard or to the rear of residences and any and all equipment such as basketball goals and badminton and volleyball nets shall be located in the back yard or to the rear of residences.

28. The lot owner will keep his lawn in like keeping with the majority of the lot owners.  If after written notice, said lot is not brought up to standard, the other lot owners may have said lot cut and cleaned and all costs involved shall be paid by the lot owner.

29. Any person violating any of these restrictive covenants understands and fully agrees that all attorney fees and court costs for the enforcement of said covenants will be paid by the violating party.

30. Enforcement of these covenants shall be by proceedings at law or in equity against any person or persons violating or attempting to violate any covenants either to restrain violation or to recover damages.

31. Invalidation of any one of these covenants by judgment or court order shall in no way affect any of the other provisions, which shall remain in full force and affect.

32. These covenants are to run with the land and shall be binding on all parties and persons claiming under them for a period of twenty-five (25) years from the date these covenants are recorded, after which said covenants shall be automatically extended for successive periods of ten (10) years unless an instrument signed by a majority of the owners of said property has been recorded agreeing to change said covenants in whole or in part.

33. The ponds shown on said plats will be for the exclusive use of the owners of the lots bordering said pond.  The undersigned owners intend to convey the ponds to a non-profit corporation, which will govern the use and maintenance thereof.

What’s for Dinner?

Quick-Fix Beef Burrito Skillet

It’s the savory goodness of a beef burrito with the ease of an all-in-one dinner. Let everyone top it off their own way with fresh lettuce, ripe tomato and creamy avocado.

Time - prep: 30 min      total: 30 min
Servings - total: 4 servings

What You Need

1lb.  lean ground beef
1pkg.  (1-1/4 oz.) Taco Seasoning Mix
1can  (15.5 oz.) no-salt-added red kidney beans, rinsed
1cup  Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1cup  water
4 flour tortillas (6 inch), cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces
1cup Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese
1/3cup Sour Cream
1large green onion, chopped

Make It

BROWN meat in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain.
ADD next 4 ingredients; stir. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min.
STIR in tortilla pieces; top with cheese. Remove from heat; cover. Let stand 5 min. or until cheese is melted. Top with sour cream and onions.

Kitchens Tips

Size-Wise: Enjoy your favorite foods while keeping portion size in mind.

Special Extra: Add more of your favorite Mexican-style toppings, such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and/or chopped avocados, before serving.

Substitute: Prepare using extra-lean ground beef, 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese, and Light Sour Cream.

 

What’s for Dessert?

Peanut Butter Bumble Bees

Everyone loved these. They are tasty little treats!!!

Time:    prep: 30 min     total: 30 min
Servings: total: 15 servings, 2 bees each

What You Need

1/4cup  (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1cup powdered sugar
1-1/2cups Graham Cracker Crumbs or finely crushed Honey Grahams
1oz. Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1/3cup Sliced Almonds, toasted

 

Make It

BEAT butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add cracker crumbs; mix well.
SHAPE tablespoonful of butter mixture into 1-inch oval to resemble body of bumble bee. Repeat with remaining butter mixture for additional "bees."
MELT chocolate as directed on package. Drizzle in lines on top of bees to resemble bees' stripes. Insert almonds into both sides of each body for "wings." Store in refrigerator up to 3 days.
